Synopsis

潮汐掌控了水口沙坪一天的節奏，漲潮時整片沙坪沒於水中，淺水區偶見釘公魚成群游動，當潮水漸漸退卻，沙坪慢慢顯露，各類動物把握機會覓食：灘棲螺不斷爬行進食；招潮蟹從洞口冒出來；幼年的馬蹄蟹留下明顯的足印；各種遷徙而來的水鳥在尋找軟體動物和蟹類，大濱鷸、紅腹濱鷸、流蘇鷸、紅頸濱鷸等。每天都有兩次漲潮和兩次退潮，不分晝夜，萬物只能順應。

The tides control the daily rhythm of Shui Hau Sandflat. During high tide, the entire sandflat is submerged in water, with schools of Jarbua Terapon occasionally seen swimming in the shallow areas. As the tide gradually recedes, the sandflat slowly emerges, and various animals seize the opportunity to forage: Sand Snails crawl continuously to feed; Fiddler Crabs emerge from their burrows; juvenile Horseshoe Crabs leave distinct tracks; and various migratory waterbirds search for mollusks and crabs, including Great Knots, Red Knots, Ruffs and Red-necked Stints and so on. There are two high tides and two low tides every day, regardless of day or night, and all living things can only adapt to this cycle.
